michigan social work school I received my MSW degree from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, so have very warm feelings about the program. The University of Michigan School of Social Work (SSW) in Ann Arbor is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The school offers Master and Doctoral programs as well as an undergraduate academic minor in Community Action and Social Change. The MSW (Master of Social Work) program is generally completed in about two academic years, but may also be completed in three academic terms in the Advanced Standing Program if the student has an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in social work. MSW students are also required to participate in field placements at various locations in the community, where they can receive on-the-job experience under the supervision of a social worker. One of my placements was at Wayne State University Counseling Center in Detroit. (more…)
