Continuing Education Requirements for Social Workers - Part 2

This goes into the number of home study credits allowed by each state as well as total credits required. Remember to see when they are due and when your license renewal date falls. Not every state requires ceu credits (or continuing education, ce credits) to renew the license for social workers. For instance, Colorado, New York and Hawaii do not have this requirement for licensed social workers. The other states, that do have this requirement for those with msw degrees vary in both the number of credits as well as the number of ceu credits allowed by home study hours.

As a social worker, you may be thinking of working abroad and using your skills and principles of caring in other countries. Some of these activities and duties involve counseling and aiding refugees, making international adoptions possible, and aiding in disaster relief efforts.
